Activateur 3140 is a catalyst that accelerates the polymerisation of anaerobic resins, reducing setting times by 2 to 5 times. It enables assemblies to be commissioned sooner and improves results on passive or inactive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminium and treated metals (cadmium-plated, anodised, chrome-plated). It also provides very rapid setting on active surfaces, works effectively at application temperatures below 10°C, and helps where backlash is significant (around 0.5 mm). Easy to apply by spray or brush: allow 2–3 minutes’ evaporation before applying the anaerobic resin and assembling. Approved for food industries, nuclear plant and aeronautics applications. Suitable for use with Orapi thread sealants, bonding and waterproofing anaerobic grades.
