Metsolv 4001 is an aqueous-based product comprising solvents and detergent in a demineralised water base.

Metsolv 4001 is widely used in the engineering industry as an alternative to conventional air-drying solvents. It is formulated for the removal of light oils and general machine shop soils, drying to leave minimal residues.

The solvents incorporated are not subject to the Montreal Protocol and provide safer, environmentally friendly alternatives to chlorinated solvents. Being semi-aqueous, the product is lower in VOCs compared to conventional solvent degreasers and supports solvent reduction initiatives.
