New Rapid Tap is a high-performance drilling and tapping fluid for hard and difficult metals, and is also effective on a wide range of ferrous and non‑ferrous substrates including aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron, bronze, magnesium, chromium, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, brass, copper and high‑nickel alloys. Its EP additive package and strong boundary lubricity reduce cutting force and help eliminate stick‑slip when hand tapping, producing quality threads. It also supports drilling and reaming, promoting good hole roundness, and suits other machining tasks such as boring, thread chasing, profile milling and turning. The viscous liquid adheres to the cutting tool for targeted lubrication and is easy to apply, including from an aerosol format. Apply a drop or two directly at the workpoint for accurate, cleaner cuts.
