Metsoak AK3923 is a powdered alkaline immersion cleaner. It has been specially designed for use in electrolytic cleaning processes and rapidly dissolves in water to form an electrolyte solution that will facilitate an electrochemical reaction between the substrate and applied current. It contains a special blend of alkalis, surfactants and sequestrants that improve the performance of the bath by readily removing most stubborn oil and grease deposits, suspending the contaminants within the working solution to prevent them depositing onto the substrate. This combination of chemical and electrochemical cleaning provides an excellent finish and improved processing time compared to other cleaning methods.

Metsoak AK3923 is also suitable for use in other immersion cleaning applications where alkaline cleaners are required. The combination of caustic alkalis, advanced sequestrants and surfactants allow for the removal of a wide range of contaminants including carbonised deposits, greases, oils, and some paint residues.

Metsoak AK3923 is especially suited for use in aluminium etching where the high sequestrant content ensures that metal smut formed during the etching process is controlled and remains within the working solution rather than depositing on the etched surface.
